- whether you want to play just for fun or want to play in one of our league teams.
Contact us with any questions or come along to a Club session on a Tuesday evening to meet some of us.
The Club has recently purchased a ball machine for members to use.
This is available to all members aged 16 or over free of charge and can be used for 30 minute periods of time. There is no need to book it out but you will need to book a court to use it in the same way as usual.
However before you use it for the first time we request that you receive some instruction on how to use it. This will often be available from a committee member at any of our Club sessions on a Saturday afternoon from 2pm - 4pm, on a Wednesday evening from 6.30 or at one of Sams drop in sessions on a Saturday morning from 10.00am. If you are unable to attend one of these sessions please e-mail the club and we will try and arrange another time.
The Ball Machine MUST be returned to the ladies changing room and put back on charge after use.
Please see the written instructions below which are also taped to the machine:
1. PLACE MACHINE BY THE BASE LINE AT THE CENTRE
2. PRESS POWER BUTTON (WAIT 8 SECONDS FOR INITIALIZATION)
3. PRESS START BUTTON
4. CHOOSE (AND PRESS) A DRILL (1 TO 12 OPTIONS AVAILABLE)
1. PRESS STOP BUTTON
2. SWITCH POWER BUTTON OFF
3. RETURN TO CLUBHOUSE AND PUT IT BACK TO CHARGE (ENSURE CHARGER LIGHT IS ON)
DO NOT LOOK INTO THE BALL EXIT HOLE WITHOUT TURNING MAIN POWER OFF.
DO NOT STAND CLOSER THAN 10 METERS WHEN BALL MACHINE POWER IS ON.
DO NOT PLACE BALLS OR FOREIGN OBJECTS INTO THE BALL HOPPER WHILE POWER IS ON. IT COULD CAUSE A JAM AND DAMAGE THE FEEDER MOTOR
DO NOT USE MACHINE WHILE IT IS RAINING. DO NOT USE WET TENNIS BALLS.

If you play in the evening you can buy floodlight tokens from The Catherine Wheel and Central Stores at £1 for each 30 minute token. When you join the club you will be issued with a key to the courts and a key to the clubhouse in return for a £5 deposit.
You can book a court here but if you are new to the club and don't know how to book a court go to our "How to Book a Court" page in the navigation bar under "More"
